Those t-shirts in The Gap looked like a new concept to people not connected by a world wide web of possibility. With the internet people could access global trends. This kind of hurt stores like The Gap because now being everything to all people meant a lot of effin’ people. You can’t make everyone happy. 

Just because people are buying a product doesn’t mean that it’s loved. People buy fast fashion mainly because its cheap and because socially (and legally!) they need to be clothed. But do they love what they are wearing? I doubt it. 

This is the Sew House Seven Tea House Dress done my way. Using cherry red chambray that I bought over a year ago, I decided to make this gorgeous pattern my own.

Believe it or not, fashion can solve problems. Worldwide, the apparel industry is a $1.3 trillion business. Literally everyone wears clothes. All of those people have needs and problems to be solved.

Slow Fashion is one part in the Slow Movement focused on apparel. Consumers are more actively involved with their clothing rather than simply consuming.
